Colin Hudson - Founder, who died in 2004 - provided the visionary spark that led to the creation of The Web of Hope. He was famous in his adopted country of Barbados firstly as an agricultural engineer and later as a leading environmental campaigner. Visit his memorial website here.
Tim Willmott - Founder and Executive Director - started his career in IT and then moved into 'soft systems' - how people behave in organisations, working in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. He is a Fellow of the RSA and has an MSc from Bristol University in Management Development and Training.
Rory Spowers - Founder - is the author of the critically acclaimed Rising Tides, a history of ecological thought, and A Year in Green Tea and Tuk Tuks, his story of the creation of Samakanda, an ecological learning centre in south Sri Lanka and the world's first 'Bioversity', a working blueprint for sustainable living.
Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall - Patron - is widely known as a writer, broadcaster and campaigner for his uncompromising commitment to real food. His series for Channel 4 have earned him a huge popular following. Hugh's first book in the River Cottage series, The River Cottage Cookbook, scooped the top food writing awards, winning the Glenfiddich Trophy, the Andre Simon Food Book of the Year and the Guild of Food Writers' Michael Smith Award.
Emiliana Silvestri - has created the educational projects at The Web of Hope and is responsible for running the roadshow and youth courses. Her aim is to unite young adults from all around the country to work together and help to find their future paths within a sustainable and violence free environment.
Iva Carrdus - designs our websites and brochures, and creates the film section of our roadshow.
Tilly Jarvis - is Project Manager for YouthPrints, a project run in partnership with Worcester Volunteer Centre that offers young people the chance to learn about sustainability through overseas volunteering experiences, and to use this knowledge to benefit their own communities.
Frankie Gray - looks after administration, the newsletters and makes sure we don't forget stuff.
Monty Erskine - Trustee. Monty lives with his family in Bath. He works as a business manager for a local church as well as supporting a number of local charity initiatives.
Professor Eric Frank - Trustee. Eric worked for many years at Bath University School of Management before retiring. He has since been a visiting professor in developing countries, especially Bangladesh. Since boyhood, he has been involved in the Scout movement worldwide, was once UK Scouting's 'Foreign Secretary' and is still active with the World Scout Bureau in Geneva.
Oscar O'Connor - Trustee. Oscar is Head of Professional Services at SELEX Communications, which specialises in information and communications security. A Professional Member of the British Computer Society and the Business Continuity Institute and a Fellow of the RSA, Oscar is also actively involved with the British Standards Institution in the development of national standards for Business Continuity in ICT. His professional interests include the innovative use of technology to improve security and resilience whilst simultaneously reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions.
